LS&T Favorite Food Spots

Takeout food options are unfortunately limited compared to on campus, but we’ve cultivated a list of choice locations for lunch outings over the years! Here are a few nearby LS&T favorites we sometimes frequent together as a group for casual lunches and going-away celebrations.

Tropical Smoothie Cafe

  • Cuisine: Healthier options/Café food (and smoothies)
  • Address: 12201 Research Pkwy #199 (literally right next door!)
  • Notes: The easiest and closest takeout option. It takes 90 seconds to walk through the parking lot to the building where it’s located. We usually just order there and take our food back to the office (you can also order ahead in the app for points). If someone calls a “T-Smoo Train,” feel free to tag along for the walk even if you’re not planning on buying anything.

Lazy Moon Pizza

  • Cuisine: Pizza
  • Address: 11551 University Blvd
  • Notes: It’s pizza! (With giant slices!)

Ahmed Indian Restaurant

  • Cuisine: Indian buffet
  • Address: 10042 University Blvd
  • Notes: When planning for a lot of people, it’s good to call ahead since they’re a little smaller, but they’re really accommodating. Has an all-you-can-eat buffet and good vegetarian and vegan options!

Mecatos Bakery & Cafe

  • Cuisine: Colombian
  • Address: 12400 Lake Underhill Rd Unit #103
  • Notes: Can get busy at lunchtime. We usually move empty tables together as needed for larger groups (they’re okay with it).

Sus-Hi Eat Station

  • Cuisine: Build-your-own sushi (rolls, bowls, and more)
  • Address: 4498 N Alafaya Trail #324
  • Notes: Another place where we tend to just pick up food and leave, not eat there (not much space).

Toasted

  • Cuisine: Grilled Cheese Sandwiches & Burgers
  • Address: 11551 University Blvd
  • Notes: They have a dedicated gluten-free kitchen and a vegan menu!

Tijuana Flats

  • Cuisine: Tex-Mex
  • Address: 11551 University Blvd
  • Notes: Bowls, burritos, chips & guac - classic Tex-Mex.

The Dough Show

  • Cuisine: Middle Eastern
  • Address: 12140 Collegiate Way 175
  • Notes: Schwarma, fateer, and kababs, oh my!

Sodough Square

  • Cuisine: Pizza
  • Address: 12226 Corporate Blvd Suite 118
  • Notes: Allegedly named “Best Pizza in Florida.” Specifically, Detroit-style pizza.

4 Rivers Smokehouse

  • Cuisine: Texas BBQ
  • Address: 11764 University Blvd
  • Notes: Classic American BBQ!

Kyuramen

  • Cuisine: Ramen & Japanese
  • Address: 3402 Technological Ave Suite 232
  • Notes: Has an extensive menu starring ramen and other classic Japanese dishes, such as takoyaki, gyoza, and pork buns.

Blaze Pizza

  • Cuisine: Pizza
  • Address: 4100 N Alafaya Trail #113
  • Notes: Features “build your own” pizza! The slices aren’t as big as Lazy Moon’s, but they’re still tasty.
