Abobe Acrobat Troubleshooting
There exists an issue that can arise when editing PDFs in Adobe Acrobat, where the file may blink non-stop or simply does not allow you to see changes made. If you encounter this issue while using the app, here’s how you can fix it!
Solution
-
Open Acrobat Pro DC (should just be named Adobe Acrobat on your workstation).
-
Click on the small profile icon on the top right of the screen.
-
Click on ‘Preferences’.
-
Click the ‘General’ tab on the left panel, under ‘Categories’.
-
Under ‘Application Startup’, make sure ‘Enable native OS mode for optimal performance’ is selected.
-
Click ‘Ok’ at the bottom of the pop-up screen.
- Quit Adobe Acrobat Pro DC (Cmd+Q or click “Quit Adobe Acrobat Pro DC” after pressing on the app name on the top left of your screen)
- Note: Closing out the Adobe windows will NOT quit Acrobat.
- Start up Adobe Acrobat Pro DC and load up a fillable PDF to verify your app is now working as intended.
That is the last step of the process. You are now able to edit your files as normal again! If this didn’t resolve your issue, check online forums for other solutions. It is likely someone’s had the same result as you and posted a note about it!
