The Techrangers Training
These pages will teach you everything you need to know to be a successful Techranger.
Your Trainer
You will be assigned a trainer once you get to the “Creating your Schedule” page. Your trainer will be your adventure buddy for the first few weeks on the team. They’ll provide you with feedback on your training projects.
Prerequisite Courses
You should have been added to the following courses in Webcourses:
- CDL Staff Orientation
- DLC Emergency Plan
Complete them before proceeding with the Techrangers Training.
Remember
- Do everything, even if you think you already know it.
- Tell your trainer after every completed task (ex: Completed setting up Outlook,… etc). And return to those tasks as your first priority if your trainer gives you any changes. (You will be assigned a trainer after creating your schedule.)
- Read all the text on every page and on any additional resource supplied for you. You’ll be happy you did!
- Ask questions! Questions are key to understanding. A big benefit to the Techrangers team is the team itself, so utilize your coworkers.
- Report any issues with the course to your trainer. Links become broken over time, free resources become premium, etc. Letting us know helps us keep the training up to date!
- You get out of the training/employment at Techrangers what you put into it! Err on the side of quality and don’t rush through.
- If you get stuck or don’t have the access you need, ask a question in
#training
on Slack.
